Chole Masala
Ingredients:
1. Chole (Chick peas) - 1 cup (soaked overnight)
2. Onion - 2
3. Tomato - 2
4. Green Chillies - 2
5. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
6. Chilly Powder - 1 tbsp
7. Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
8. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
9. Pepper whole - 1.5 tsp
10. Saunf (perunjeerakam) - 1 tsp
11. Coriander leaves - few
12. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
How to Prepare:
Heat oil in a kadai, add saunf & pepper
Add the chopped onions
Add ginger garlic paste
Add tomatoes and green chillies
Add all the spice powders (Chilly powder, coriander powder & garam masala powder). Saute it well till the raw smell dissappers. Switch it off and let it cool. Once cooled down, grind it to a paste.
Boil the Chick peas in a pressure cooker
Add the grinded masala to the boiled chick peas. Add coriander leaves and when the gravy thickens, switch it off.
Add lemon juice and garnish it with sliced onion.
Serve it with hot roti!!!!
