Rajma Masala

Rajma is a very nutritious kidney bean. About  100 grams of boiled Rajma beans contain140 calories. 5.7 grams of protein, 9 grams of fat and nearly 17.8 grams of carbohydrate. This gravy goes very well with rotis and rice. Rajma chawal is very famous in north India.

Ingredients:

1. Rajma - 1 cup
2. Onion - 1 (Big)
3. Tomato - 2
4. Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1tbsp
5. Green Chilly - 1
6. Chilly Powder - 1 tbsp
7. Coriander Powder - 3/4 tbsp
8. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
9. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
10. Pepper - 1 tbsp
11. Jeera - 1 tbsp
12. Coriander leaves - few

How to Prepare:

Soak the rajma overnight and cook well. Keep it aside. Heat oil in a kadai. Add jeera and pepper and fry. Add the chopped onion and green chilly and saute well. Add the ginger galic paste. Saute well. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute well till it becomes mushy. Add the chilly powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and salt. Saute well till everything is blended together. Switch off the stove and let it cool down. Grind it to a smooth paste. Heat oil in a kadai, add the ground paste followed by the cooked rajma. Cook well till the gravy becomes thick. Add coriander leaves.

 Add all the spice powders and grind it to a smooth paste. Heat oil in a kadai, add the cooked rajma and the grinded paste and cook well till the gravy becomes thick.

  Garnish with coriander leaves!!!!!!
